Hi! I'm Flat Stanley Pressler. My friends call me "FSP".
I'm named after Stanley Arnold Pressler, a widely respected educator and pioneer in hospital financial managment who, in 1945, was instrumental in the formation of the organization we today call HFMA.
I'm new to the Indiana Chapter and I'm looking forward to meeting as many HFMA members as I possibly can. This webpage will record my adventures this year as I travel from chapter to chapter.

My first meeting was the Indiana mini-LTC at the Kendall Inn at Ft. Benjamin Harrison. It was really great learning about this chapter year and making plans with all the committees. Here I am with the Education Committee:
After a great day of working with my peeps, I left on my first adventure.
I went to Illinois to attend the First Illinois Chapter Golf Outing.
June 11, 2009
I was excited to find out that I'd be travelling to Colorado
with Indiana Chapter member, Sarah Killion who was attending a
wedding. We boarded our plane on time so I could get a good seat
by the window. While in Denver, we went to a Mexican Fiesta
Rehearsal Dinner (I got a sombrero!). It was a lot of fun and I
spent time with Sarah's family and friends, many of whom came
all the way from Indiana, like me! I went to lots of
neighborhood pubs and walked around historic Denver
neighborhoods. The trip home was a little bumpy (I thought
tornados and hail at the same time only happened in Indiana!)
but we made it.

Most people would find time to rest after all that
but I had to pack my bags and head out to ANI in Seattle.
I hope I get to the top of the Space Needle!

I'm in Seattle at ANI with our Chapter President - Connie Bishop.
I've been meeting lots of people.

Here I am with Connie and Brad Willkie.
Here I am on Day 1:

Looks like I'm keeping some pretty good company!

Baseball-Indiana Pressler Chapter
Indianapolis Indian's Game
I love baseball so much, I could not help myself and I jumped the
wall
and hit the field. Lucky for me they were discussing the last call
and didn't see me!
September was a busy month for me.
I went to Tulsa, Oklahoma and spent some time with the second
grade class at Cooper Elementary School. The students really
made me feel like on of their class. They taught me hallway
procedures, which is called "The Cooper Stroll". To do it
properly, you must have your hands in your pockets or behind
your back, and you must not talk! Very hard for me!! I really
enjoyed reading the story "Exploring Space with an Astronaut.

The kids were a lot of fun.
September 24-26, 2009 Tri-Chapter Conference, Belterra Resort & Casino
National HFMA Chair-Elect, Debi Kuchka-Craig and me.
I made lots of new friends at Belterra.
And, I took some time to smell the flowers!
After a great meeting, I headed south...way south, to attend the Region 7 Presidents Meeting in Aruba!
Sorry, no photos of me in my swimwear. We had meetings and for some crazy reason,
they tried to put a Packers Helmet on me - silly people - only Colts Helmets fit FSPs head!!!
National HFMA Offices - Westchester, Illinois
I spent a few days in late September with my friends at the National HFMA offices.
They are all working hard for HFMA!!! I really enjoyed my time there meeting
all the guests who came in.
December
I hope you all had a great Holiday Season - I sure did.
I made some new friends - here I am with a little guy
named Dasher.
Dasher and his friends pull this really cool red sleigh - they let me get in it.
There were gifts under a tree with my name on them! I got a new calculator
and a new HFMA shirt - how could it get any better?
I loved getting in these stockings - very
comfortable.
Especially after all the food I ate including pie!
Happy Holidays to all my friends, old and new.
